Challenge and Solution in Tomb Raider Games

Tomb raider is an adventure games ever been popular and success in many editions. These games had many challenge and maneuver to seek artifacts, secrets and relics. Lara has to find those things in all levels. And each level appears harder than previous one.

Like on previous tomb raider, you can save games at any level as many as you want. This will improve and save time exploring the secret and get to the next level. However there are some challenges which are hard to solve.

Tomb of the Unworthy

·Location: Lara had Travel to the Mountain Village, once Lara had gained the Climbing Axe, and return to the Tomb of the Unworthy camp at the base of the waterfall. Use the axe to enter the tomb.

·Solution: To solve this puzzle, Lara will need fire. Use the pot to light a fire, or use flint if acquired it. Burn the bodies on the mesh platform and push off any extra weight to allow the lift to rise up enough for Lara to climb the rest of the way.

·Reward: Mountain Village Relic Map

Halls of Ascension Tomb

·Location: Once again in the Mountain Village, Lara will need Rope Arrows and the Fire starter flint before entering the tomb. Travel to the Overlook Camp where Lara went to find the rescue plane’s smoke signal. Instead of traveling down, use a Rope Arrow to reach the north ledge to follow the high path. Lara will need to use a second rope arrow to finally reach the tomb entrance.

·Solution: To solve this puzzle, first survey the room. There is an open window on the left, and a platform hanging by ropes in the center. Start by closing the shutters on the left with the crank, and then turn the crank in the center to raise the platform. Slowly, the shutters on the left will open. Quickly run up onto the platform once it is raised and wait for the second shutter to open. When it does, a strong gust of wind will blow the platform right and high. Keep eyes right for a flat wooden board for Lara to jump to and hang on from the ledge. The rest is straightforward.

·Location: Travel to the Shantytown’s Helicopter Hill camp with a Rope Arrow. To reach this area, travel through the town to find a building painted with white murals and protected by booby traps. Destroy the floor to drop into a cave below leading down a straight path toward the tomb.

·Solution: Inside the shaft, Lara can see a hanging platform above. Collect the yellow canisters one by one and throw them onto the platform to lower it. Once it’s on the ground, stand on the platform and throw the canisters off. Then step off and use the upper ledge to jump onto the raising platform, then quickly hop onto the left ledge.

Chamber of Judgments

·Location: Start at the Windmill camp in the Shantytown. Travel to the eastern caves below the gondola station in the southern half of the town and slide down the slick surface to reach the ledges across the gap. Follow the right passage after climbing up the ledge and cross the wooden beam bridge to find a narrow entrance.

·Solution: Collect the yellow cans around the tomb and place them on the naturally raised section of the seesaw to weigh it down. Jump to one, and use a Rope Arrow on the other. Use the raised seesaw to jump to the ledge reachable with the climbing axe.

·Reward: Shantytown GPS Cache Map

Storm guard Sanctum

·Location: Travel to the Hunting Lodge camp in the Summit Forest and explore north beyond the bridge. Look for the lamppost marking the entrance.

·Solution: Simply bring two fire arrows to set off explosives and gas to get through this puzzle. Explode the gas with a fire arrow, cross it and then destroy the explosive crates on the ledge. With the pathway clear, just climb up the rocky wall to the map.

·Reward: Summit Forest Relic Map

The Flooded Vault

·Location: Reaching Shipwreck Beach, the tomb is located on your way to the Cliffside Bunker. You’ll need the Climbing Axe, the Prying Axe, and some Rope Arrows. Climb to the top of the bunker and squeeze through the narrow passage to find the entrance.

·Solution: Hit the button up the stairs, and then hit the button beside the door near the entrance to enter the tomb proper. Inside, Lara will see electricity surging through the water and a floating platform. Light the mooring rope on fire to free the floating platform, then shotgun the wooden barrier on the right. Use the new opening through the barrier to shoot a Rope Arrow at the platform and pull it closer. Pull the platform to the steps, then use Rope Arrows to pull the beam at the far end of the room, raising the generator and stopping the electricity flow in the water. Pull the generator up, jump right to the platform, pull the generator again and continue through the safe water. Last, pull up the generator, then pull the platform underneath the generator. Now the water will be safe.

·Reward: Shipwreck Beach Relic Map

Temple of the Handmaidens

·Location: Still on Shipwreck Beach, travel to the zip line north of the Survivor’s camp to reach a barricade blocking the way to a bunker. Use the Rope Ascender to break the barricade and take the path forward. Use Rope Arrows to continue into a cave leading to the tomb.

·Solution: To start the tomb, use the crank at the entrance to raise a platform and allow the buoy to move left. Climb the ledge left to follow the buoy as it releases a turning pole. Use it to jump the gap, and then use the Rope Arrow on the white roped beam below. Wait for the buoy to move forward and push the beam perpendicular with Lara. When it lines up, jump to the bar to reach a rock wall with the Climbing Axe.

If you plan to buy netbook to play PC games, perhaps too risky. Actually netbook not suppose  to be used for gaming. Netbook is made for mobility, for light software. Even can be used to play some PC games, that’s not heavy one. 

Netbook really have limitation for a few application. Netbook is made to cover segment “netting” among laptop and smartphones. Netbook has top at its mobility, as smartphones, but can also be utilized as laptop in general way. Then what highlight that makes netbook can't be utilized to play PC games? 

Check on graphic card's specification. 

Graphic adapter holds essential role in PC gaming. Graphic adapter is the main part to accelerate PC games. Without a good graphic card, PC games won't be played or sometimes could run with many problem on it. 

If you have netbook or laptop, you can see your graphic card at system property. There will be display property, and name of the display card. Usually written Intel, ATI, Nvidia, GeForce, and others. 

Each display card have superiority or class. As SIS is on lowest class, followed by Intel and in first class ATI and GeForce. And at any given display card have draw number, one that will differentiate if that display card are on the low-end, even that one belongs to first class adapter, which is ATI or GeForce.

Usually on that system requirements would be “speed of the prosessor”, then RAM, hardisk space, OS, and most importantly graphic card.

Free PC Games on Laptop

Are you fond of playing free PC games on laptop? Just take an alert on some free PC games that you download from internet. Because it’s not all PC games are compatible to laptop. Why on laptop? Laptop had gain so much interest for gamers, the mobility of laptop had kill PC desktop in first place. Even 3D PC games could be played smoothly on Laptop. The gamers could enjoy PC games on the park, train, car, and any pleasure place.

But laptop still had weakness compare to PC desktop, the power of battery, the cooling system. Those problems would be solved in the future, when laptop manufacturer produce better battery, something more than 5 hours to support laptop performance. Longer than that, would be excellent for the gamers who want to enjoy PC games outdoor.

 

Let’s back talk about free games on internet. This is my personal experience, I was having trouble with my laptop, it was unusual that my laptop loading so slow. Previous day I did review on some free PC games, and the next day my laptop started to load in slow motion. Wherever I open any program, it’s loading very slowly.

I was using Windows OS, so I open task manager, look at the performance tab found unusual, the CPU usage little bit up, the PF usage also slightly up, then I checked processes tab found more image name running, I believe that came from recent games. However according to the information on task manager system was normal. Then I decided to check the hard disk, I used program Test My Hardware, you can download here, its freeware. The outcome was hard disk look fine. So I did disk defragmenter, just make sure that the trouble is not from hard disk. Then I removed all games from my laptop. When I try to load the system again, it run the same very slow. I didn’t think that some kind of viruses or malware, so I did virus scan, I used the trusted antivirus, the result as I expect before no viruses found.

I finally formatted the drive, installed window again. Then everything back to normal. The problem solved, but what was the cause of the trouble? I believe that from the recent installed games, because again I had the same trouble when I installed those games once more. Some free PC games are not perfectly made, there are called “bugs”, when we try to uninstall, still some part of the program left. In order to avoid time consumed during reinstalling software, I manage multiple OS on my laptop, and use one system special for games purpose.
